Abstract: The project was a complex, interdisciplinary study linked to the interests of
international biomedical research, which aimed to bring new anticancer agents closer to clinical
trials, making a translation from the chemical substance to the pharmaceutical product.
Pharmaceutical development is a complex and laborious process that begins with studies of the
dissolution and release of the active substance from the pharmaceutical product and continues
with studies on the pharmacokinetics, pharmacological activity and side effects of the product.
Aims: to develop and validate new liposomal systems for the transport and delivery of 2
promising anti-cancer agents. Nanoparticle drug carrier systems offer great promise to improve
the therapeutic efficacy and safety profile of these novel anticancer agents. The efficiency of
these nanoformulations was evaluated in terms of stability, drug entrapment efficiency, release
behavior, cellular uptake, cytotoxicity, pharmacotoxicological profile.
