AURA TEMEREANCA is senior researcher III at Viral Emerging Diseases Department. Expertise area includes HIV infection, viral hepatitis infections, next-generation sequencing (NGS), phylogenetic analysis.
Research interests: (1) investigation of viral and host biomarkers associated with HAND (HIV-associated neurocognitive disorder) in a cohort of long term surviving young adults, parenterrally infected during childhood, multitreatment experienced; (2) to assess the prevalence and evolution of HIV-1 drug resistance in both heavily treated and newly diagnosed, treatment-naïve patients, and to analyze HIV circulating subtypes; (3) virological and immunological monitoring of hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus infection and emergence of resistance.
