Dr. Camelia Mia Hotnog graduated from University of Bucharest, Faculty of Biology –specialization Biochemistry; Master degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; Ph.D. in Medicine
Research interests: oncology, cellular immunology, tumor immunology, immunotherapy; protein/gene profile associated with cell adhesion and angiogenesis in cancer, cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in antitumoral drug resistance, antiproliferative activity of pyrrole derivatives against solid tumor-derived cells.
Technical skills and competences: design and perform research activities for modulation of apoptosis and cell proliferation by antitumoral drugs and bioactive compounds (cytotoxicity assays, RTCA technique); cell culture; immunochemical techniques: ELISA, electrophoresis, immunoblotting; Western Blot; molecular biology techniques (nucleic acid isolation, real-time RT-PCR), protein microarray.
