  1. A training program based on advanced university studies, completed within a doctoral school and made up of activities carried out in institutionalized study formations;
  2. An individual program of scientific research/artistic creation.

The first year of doctoral studies includes the training program based on advanced university studies, which includes mandatory subjects: Scientific research methodology; Ethic and academic integrity; Structural and functional genomics.

The field of research covered by the doctoral program also includes the disciplines: Virology; Public healt; Molecular biology; Immunology; Toxicology

At least 4 disciplines are mandatory.

The first year ends with the presentation of a Research Project in front of a committee.

The second year consists of setting up the research plan, establishing the objectives, perfecting the methodology, recruiting the study group and presenting a scientific report on a theme derived from the paper.

The third year consists of the analysis of the study material, the development of the statistical apparatus, the follow-up of the specialized literature on the established topic and the presentation of a scientific report on a topic derived from the paper.

Year IV is the year of writing, finalizing and presenting the thesis.

During years II, III, IV, the doctoral student will present information regarding the progress stage of the thesis.

Doctoral studies end with the public submission of an original work (doctoral thesis), which is the result of the research or artistic creation carried out by the doctoral student during the doctoral university studies. Based on the doctorate thesis and its public support, it is decided whether or not to award the doctorate.
